Famous painter Kim Jong-gi died of a heart attack in Paris on Monday at the age of 47.
The Daniel Maghen Art Gallery announced his death on Wednesday.
According to a statement shared on Kim’s Instagram page, The artist was scheduled to fly from Europe to New York, where he was scheduled to appear at Comic Con this week.
He felt chest pain while at the airport and was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
Kim was known for his exceptional ability to paint intricate figures entirely from memory on large canvases with his trusty brush pen.
The talented artist also contributed artwork to famous comic books Marvel and DC Comics and He won the Guinness World Record for the longest painting in the world.
Early in his career, he painted many nudes or sexual images for which he was criticized by the soo many people around the world.
Each painting by the talented artist sold for more than $100. We remember him with respect.
